Very brittle plastic snaps into place almost instantly

The original factory cover on my Nissan Xterra had a noticeable crack. I bought this hat as a replacement. Installation was easy enough and I thought it fit well. The small hinge on the lid broke in half within a week. Like many other reviews here. this cap is made of very cheap brittle plastic. My advice is to choose a different cap.
