I have used them in my closets. They work great. The sensor turns on the light as soon as the door is almost fully open. I installed all but one on the inside of the closet. I installed a vertical on a post separating two doors. I have deep shelves and they block the light when it's over them. This doesn't turn on when the door is opened due to the position of the sensors, but as soon as you put your hand inside they turn on. I had them fully charge before installing and they lasted about a month and still worked well which is amazing considering kids open closet doors a hundred times a day. They are held with magnetic tape. The magnetic strip has a self-adhesive backing. When the lights need to be charged, they simply detach from the strip and turn on again after charging, which is very convenient. I am very happy with them and plan to buy more in the future.
