I'm sure my mom will like it. Non-standard frame sizes are normal because they are easy to cut, and the frame edge hides imperfect cuts. The material feels pretty cheap, and the plastic used to protect the photos was slightly damaged on all frames (not visible from afar, but the plastic shouldn't be damaged. You'll need a screwdriver to install the base (probably none could be taller but not too bad I wouldn't order additional frames for this as it seems like it's already spaced correctly, any more and you'd lose the whole point of the tree. I like this article as a concept, but the quality isn't quite there.I bought this one for the leaf painting but I would recommend looking at other similar picture frame options
