So we're all looking for a project to do while in crouch and hide mode. I wanted to use Category 6 cable as the return path for my wireless mesh network, whatever that was. As a completely unskilled amateur, I was very nervous trying to find a passageway between my main level and the basement. I measured eleven times seven and took a picture. After I cut out the drywall I still couldn't see anything because of the insulation. However, I managed to glue this fish tape in the basement. IT WORKS OUT! Then, without really knowing what I was doing, I managed to run Cat 6 STP 24 AWG solid copper wire with lots of tape. I won't say it was easy, but the job got done. I'm sure there are better tools for professionals, but this worked for me. It rolled up and down just as easily. I'm not sure what else you would like to know. Like one idiot in a long line of idiots, I had success with this tool without even reading the instructions. Imagine what a clever handyman like you can do just by skimming the manual?
