Odd Ball: Golf Balls

I'm an average (read: bad) golfer, maybe mid 90's at times. For the last few years I've only played golf a few times a year, mostly at working tournaments. In the 18 or so years that I've been playing golf, I've hit 5 woods, 9 irons, 7 irons, and the deadly club very well and accurately. Another thing that's very consistent: slice discs. Over 75% of the time. Half my discs are lost balls. That's 18 shots automatically added to my score. And the embarrassment that comes with it. Many years ago I switched to a 9 degree driver as it left the discs lower and therefore couldn't cut as far to the right as the higher lofted ball which would have floated slightly off the side and then the pipe. This helped me find more of my out of bounds shots because I could see where the lower trajectory balls exited the fairway. Still a shame and embarrassing. I swore to myself that the next time I played golf I'd start with an A, dammit I'd make the shortest move, but almost certainly in the middle. Then I saw it. So I said fuck it, let's try these correction balls. First experiment: I hit 3 of the best flights and then 3 of them. I have done this several times. They seem to be losing 15-20 yards. Plus they dive like dead ducks with a 9 degree driver. When I set the loft to 10-1/2 (TaylorMade Rocketballz Club) they seem to run straighter. Oddly enough the longest 2 balls I hit were polara but in general most of them were shorter. I'll be happy to settle for straight shots and tee off with them next time I play golf and upgrade. I hate starting with a fairway tree, it's just not fun! Oh and god I carved a frigging polara so they still can't fully save me.
