We treated a large area of the toilet for urine stains no more than 9 months old, first with a black LED light to pinpoint exactly where the are urine was. We partially lifted the carpet, removed the padding and then completely wet the entire carpet and wood floor in the closet according to directions and using the strongest recommended concentration. We then lifted the waterproofing carpet (for airflow) and let it all air dry completely, with the fans running 24/7 for a week. But despite the excellent reviews and assurances that this product completely gets rid of the strong smell of cat urine from the carpet and wooden floor, the more the aroma of the product disappears and the more the carpet / subfloor dries, the old smell returns - an unpleasant smell remains. the pungent odor of cat urine, only slightly less strong. I really wanted this product to work!
