Review on 📱 RAM Mounts X-Grip Large Phone Holder with Ball and B Size 1" Ball by Jon Estell

The small 17mm ball joint used in the Garmin DriveSmart cannot be tightened. Because it's a friction landing, when the vehicle, in this case a jeep, is parked on a bumpy dirt road, the GPS quickly tilts down. The Ram Mount X-Grip is perfect for holding a large GPS and I found it to be very reliable. without the addition of an elastic that provides even more support. And the 25mm ball tightened in the ram extension is solid and doesn't budge. I had a strap, and why not, just for security, and the strap didn't interfere with access to the power button or the power connector on the back of the GPS. Also, neither the X-Grip legs nor the straps had any effect on the Garmin GPS Navigator's touchscreen. A cleaner solution would be a cradle, but a ram mount doesn't exist for this device and probably never will. X-Grip is a great solution for 5 starts, which is quite expensive.
