This device is a great standalone solution for HDD/SSD cloning. You can clone from SSD to SSD, HDD to HDD, HDD to SSD or even SSD to HDD. He does every combination. I have successfully cloned a failing hard drive to an SSD with no problems. This device made an exact copy of the original. The computer didn't even know I had replaced the drive. Only now it's MUCH faster. Please note that the cloning process is a standalone process. Do not connect to a computer while cloning. I haven't used the actual docking feature yet, but I'm pretty sure that when plugged into a computer it works like a regular external drive. Overall I am very satisfied with this device. It's all plastic but feels solid and a little heavier than I expected. It's also a bit bigger than I expected, which isn't too bad. LEDs are easy to see in most lighting situations. It comes with its own USB 3 cable and power adapter. Also very well packaged. I wholeheartedly recommend the Y-3032 to anyone who wants to clone/duplicate HDD/SSD etc. It will get the job done.
