Review on SoHo Urban Artist 10-Piece Iridescent Metallic Soft Pastels Set: Vibrant Sticks for Art, Drawing, Blending, Layering, and Shading by Linda Diaz

I'm not familiar with the SoHo Urban Artist line of products, but was pleasantly surprised by the SoHo Urban Artist Soft Pastels Set. These are very soft chalk pastels with pressed mica powder. The proportion of mica powder and pigments is very high. I tried them on black cotton watercolor paper to see the effect of the metallic colors and they were very vibrant. The sticks are very, very soft, but don't crumble. They are soft enough to be used with a brush. This works well for me when painting and customizing resin dolls. These pastels are perfect as eyeshadow and lipstick for doll faces. I also like the hard plastic sleeve inside the cardboard sleeve. My experience with this set definitely makes me curious to try other Urban Artist products. I would recommend this set for its vibrant colour, shimmering fine mica powder and soft buttery texture.
