On the plus side, the scale indicator lights up during use. out. Not a critical issue for my needs but frustrating as I have several other scales that are very accurate. The scale also works as a clock and kitchen timer. So the display (but not the backlight) is always on, which wastes battery compared to my other scales when they turn off completely. To weigh heavy objects I bought this scale, it's a good scale. But if it was my only scale I would send it back.
