Very flat. Best in Marking Tools

I spent almost a week setting up the blades on my jointer using various "flat" objects in my workshop such as rulers, spirit levels, etc. I started thinking my jointer was a piece of junk and got ready to better order. Then I read an article on the internet that many tools are not totally flat and that you have to spend some money to get really flat tools. I ordered this flat bar and along with some filling gauges I was able to properly set the blades in my jointer. It only took 10-15 minutes and now everything is working great. This straight bar is great and the price is not too high.

Pros

Aluminum Ruler is just the right tool for holding tight tolerances, making it ideal for checking flatness on wet stone, planers, planers, power tools, all-purpose machines, countertops, countertops and more. Works great where there is a seam to ensure both sides are perfectly even.
