Well I had a chance to use this item and after receiving this item I took one out of my pocket and used it a few times. As I prepared for the trip, I decided to test the other to make sure they both work. Luckily I checked it out because one of them was broken and out of order. I sent it back and got a replacement and due to the error I checked both. So far, so good. Now there really isn't much of that cable left. It plugs into power and works. This kit has a few features that make it a bargain. The first impressive and important feature is the silicone ring on the bottom, which prevents the charger from slipping and is a testament to the quality of the product. The feature I like is that the cable is soft and very flexible, making it easier to twist the wire, but it's just as easy with a hard wire, only it requires more strength. I just don't see that to be honest, so it's not a problem. Now, like most people, I use my Fenix 5X to navigate my hikes and being able to charge my device while I'm wearing it while on the go is very important. With this device you can now be sure that I will never run out of energy. Another big advantage is the internal regulator, which prevents overcharging. It's not a BMS, but it adjusts the input when you're using a 2.4A charging box to keep your battery from overheating. Remember that the slower you charge your battery, the longer it will last. Finally, the included dust covers are a nice bonus. These things definitely protect the electrodes and are greatly appreciated. Overall I like this set and I think it's worth buying. Just remember to connect it to the clock first, then to the brick, and finally to the wall. This ensures the longest possible lifespan of any charger and ensures that the electrodes are never worn out by arcing. I don't expect this product to last forever but I am sure that with good care and practice it can last a very long time and put to the test only time will tell. I'll update the review if anything changes, but I'm sure this product will work fine despite the initial bug.
