I don't know what else to say. This is a thermometer, meaning its only function is to accurately measure and display temperature. Well you can't, it's 100% useless. All the positive reviews are all the more embarrassing. That can only mean that it's complete bullshit as to whether yours will work, since Cooper doesn't seem to care about anything like quality control. I bought a device that shows me the temperature of a second fridge that is used solely as a craft beer fridge. I needed to keep my fridge at 50-55 degrees and was hoping to avoid buying a temperature controller as well. So I've left this thermometer on the shelf in the fridge for the last 7 days and it read 49.8. I thought great, that's great! Except that the beer was MUCH colder (simple feel test, I know how cold beer feels when it comes out of the fridge). Then we left for 3 days. I came back and of course still read 49.8. For the past 7 days it's been 49.8 every time I've checked. It's just impossible. You could draw 49.8 on the front of the device. I took the device out of the fridge and left it on the coffee table in the living room. It went up to 51 degrees, then 54.3 degrees, then 60.1 degrees, now it's dropped to NEGATIVE 37.3 degrees. yes, negative The thermostat in our house currently reads 72 degrees and the digital hygrometer I have in my pull out humidor reads 71 degrees. In short, this thermometer doesn't work, it's a piece of crap and you shouldn't be spending money on it. Find something else.
