Works well, but far from ideal.

. That's the Way It Should Be Seems to be a problem with all VESA adapter mounts, not just this one. Maybe it has more to do with the monitor than the mount. I found out after buying a monitor that won't install. If I had money I would buy another monitor and I gave the one I bought to my son. I would only recommend this adapter as a last resort for installing a monitor.
