My wife is very sensitive to pollen, grass etc. After using this product for several months while traveling it seems so its work pretty well. It's hard to say, but the air in the car seems cleaner. However, it needs to be turned on manually when the power is turned back on (when you start the car). This limits placement options as you have to reach for the device to turn it on. They provide a fixture that allows you to hang it behind the seat. It is very difficult (impossible?) to get there even when the car is stationary and downright dangerous if the driver tries to do so while the car is moving. This, in my opinion, is a serious minus if you do not have a place to find it within reach. The SUV has a flat center console between the two front seats and is placed there. It takes up a lot of space and makes it difficult to access console storage, but it's easy to get to and likely a breath of fresh air for the passengers. The plug is connected to an auxiliary socket (cigarette lighter). If you only have one, you cannot charge the device at the same time. We have two outlets, but sometimes you need to charge/power more than one at a time. We're going to buy a duplex adapter, but we need to be aware of the amperage so the fuse doesn't blow. FOR 1. Relatively compact size2. It has a 2-speed fan. Has an ionizer.4. Turns off when power is removed from the outlet5. Fairly quiet, especially at low fan speeds. Minuses: 1. Does not turn on automatically when the power is turned on again (when starting the car). 2. Location options are limited as they need to be activated manually.3. The cigarette lighter plug occupies an outlet (one of two in my car) and does not have a USB port to connect a phone charger. While I recommend this product, it is not based on scientific research. It seems to help, but it's doubtful it actually cleans the air throughout the car. We encourage you to check the dimensions and see if there is a place to place it WHERE IT IS AVAILABLE.
