I use this to switch my webcam between 3 different computers. It works great and the button cable is very long. It comes with 2 short 3ft cables and 2 longer 6ft cables. They worked for me, but I'd appreciate any 6ft cables. The cables are thick and appear to be of high quality, but time will tell. I have two disadvantages. First, no power cord or wall adapter is included. They aren't required for operation, but the ability to change items when the computers are off would be handy. The power connector is on the front, making it a bit awkward, but the device is cramped and would require a lot of rework to fit in the back. Second, there's no button on the unit itself to toggle the output calculator, so if the cable breaks or frays at the button, you're out of luck. While this may be an obstacle for some, they did not detract from my goal. I'm also considering buying a second one to combine my mouse and keyboard into one. While the device may support a camera with a mouse and keyboard, I may need to control another computer without disabling the camera.
