Does exactly what I need

I use this to switch my webcam between 3 different computers. It works great and the button cable is very long. It comes with 2 short 3ft cables and 2 longer 6ft cables. They worked for me, but I'd appreciate any 6ft cables. The cables are thick and appear to be of high quality, but time will tell. I have two disadvantages. First, no power cord or wall adapter is included. They aren't required for operation, but the ability to change items when the computers are off would be handy. The power…

It is great!

I started poking around Revain looking for a reliable USB KVM for my two laptop setup. It should have been easy, right? Most of the products I found (yes, I read the reviews) came with all sorts of negative comments. Things like this should be simple and just work, right? It's guys! This thing is very basic as it should be and does what it's supposed to do very well. I love it! Works flawlessly when switching between my two laptops (via my Kensington Dock). It's very small and I actually…

Confusing, frustrating, and poorly documented

I asked a question about this product, which has since disappeared, regarding the 5V charging port that is on the USB peripheral side of the switch. It's a USB Micro-B connector, and that would be when you need power to power the peripheral, as opposed to bus power coming from the USB port (which might not be enough for the peripheral). StarTech mentions the port. in its limited documentation, but only states that the user will "connect a 5V power supply to the power supply connector (USB…

Works as expected - bit annoying

I have a triple monitor setup for my Windows 10 gaming pc but wanted one of my Linux Mint 19.1 mini pc monitors for home use coding and scripting use. However, I've always wanted just a keyboard and mouse on my desk. So I searched for different types of KVM and found this USB switch! I really like this thing, it worked right out of the box for Windows and Linux Mint. It's a pretty quick switch between the two, and I have two extra USB-A ports and two extra USB-B ports. So if I wanted to expand,

Key extension beautiful

Toggle: There is no hotkey, but the toggle button is connected to a thin cable that you can pull straight out and hides the actual device at the back. This might not seem like a big deal to some, but it's an extremely simple and aesthetically effective feature if you don't like the mess in front of you. I was really hoping for a keyboard shortcut device like KVM switches used to be, that would still be a great feature but honestly I don't miss it. Technical issue: Second, I now only have 2…

Reliable product that works as expected

This little USB switch/hub meets my needs very well. I needed a way to easily share my wired peripherals between three computers. I've connected this device to open USB ports on a home laptop dock, a work laptop dock, and a PC using the cables that came with it. I then connected my printer, scanner, Blu-ray player, and large solid state drive using the USB cables that come with each peripheral. I went ahead and plugged in a 5 amp power supply, although for these current devices I don't think I…
