Review on πŸ’‡ REVLON Salon Smooth & Shine Hair Dryer & Styler: The Perfect 2-in-1 Hair Styling Tool by Kim Fukushima

This is an option if you don't want to throw away all your hair tools

not so good. The drying power of this brush is definitely inferior to that of a normal hair dryer and even compared to other brush and hair dryer combos. The air heats up, but not as much as in a traditional dryer, and is blown out, but not as much as in a traditional dryer. This will straighten your hair as you dry it, but the end result will be a lot less straight. My hair (fine, medium length) has just enough waviness to straighten it with this blow dryer, but by the end of the day it's frizzy and frizzy. I have to reapply the product to keep my hair under control. It weighs my hair down, and who with thin hair needs that? In terms of styling, this comb also pales in comparison to using a regular comb and blow dryer. You can easily curl/twist the ends of your hair, but again, it's not that long. You can also create a slight wave if you wrap your hair around the brush and hold it there until your hair is completely dry and select the cool air option to set it before moving on to the next section. The hydro mist option can help if you use it on dry hair for touch-ups, but otherwise I don't use it. It's easier to refresh day-old or flat hair with a regular spray as the hydrospray feature doesn't wet the hair enough to be restyled/revitalized. Revlon would have been better off forgoing this option and using the extra space to increase drying capacity. If this blow dryer/styler was more appealing I could see myself using it instead of the brush and blow dryer. It's easier to use as it only requires one hand, it's lighter, it's not noisy, and there's a lot less to pack. I have an old dryer/styling brush from ten years ago that beats this one, but it's a round brush, not a flat one, so it doesn't really straighten my hair (although it's great for curls). While this combo dry/styling brush isn't a total flop, Revlon didn't knock it out of the park either. This is a good option, albeit a bit on the high end. If you travel a lot, need to straighten your hair (mostly) and don't want to carry multiple combs and a heavy hair dryer, then this is a good choice.
