I bought this unit for its storage capacity versus the price. It's loaded with 5 x 10TB drives and works really well. Practical Problems/Daily Problems: 1. Cold booting or restarting the PC requires turning the device off and on. It cannot be mounted automatically when the power is cut off or the PC crashes.2. The sides of the transparent Plexiglas rattle. The support team acts like you're the first person to come across this and put me through a long, slow email exchange that ended with me giving up. I used the silicone bead fixation someone else posted here.3. NOISY. Absurdly enough, and there's no way to slow down the fan to reduce it. My workplaces were built for silence.4. The light is always on when the device is on. There is no way to turn it off. My workstations are running 24/7 and the lights are bright at night, so if you can get rid of those items, you're done. Here, too, the storage capacities and the reliability in everyday life are unbeatable in view of the price. But poor secondary design decisions have jeopardized what could have been a 5-star product.
