UPDATE 2019: This gel pad started leaking again after only 4 years. I sit at my computer all day, so if you use your computer less than I do, it might take longer.-------------------------------------- - I have owned it since August 2011, so almost 4 years. The first thing to note is that this is a beautiful mouse pad when you receive it. The top of the pad tends to collect dirt that needs regular cleaning (I use alcohol wipes and some elbow grease). Over the past year, the gel residue has turned a darker yellow in the most stressed areas. It also crumpled in the same place as the discolored one, and the crease weakened the gel material, causing the gel to leak. I will replace it with the same model because it has lasted almost 4 years and I love the look of it. Unlike most mouse pads, it offers a nice place to rest your wrist. Just know that it doesn't have to last forever.
