These little things are cool. It should be noted that I hooked them up to my computer and have an equalizer that allowed me to tune them to the tone I wanted. I mostly listen to metal and use them when playing guitar, listening to music or playing video games. The sound these things can make is amazing. Very crisp and clear, just what you need when listening to metal. However, due to their proximity, I very rarely turn them up to a level that would be considered loud. However, if you're looking for speakers that will be used solely for music/television in a large room, look elsewhere. Compared to the stereo in my living room, they don't even come close. While they're loud enough to drown out your significant other's sound, they're only 4-inch tweeters and will struggle to reproduce a sound that feels full. I recommend pairing them with a subwoofer if that's your only option and you really want to play along with some of the tunes, especially if you prefer music that's more bass and vocal focused than instrumental.
