Review on Milliard Reading Pillow Shredded Backrest by Danielle Tucker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

After a year of use, I still made the right decision by purchasing this backrest.

UPDATE, one year later: I am still happy with my decision to purchase this brand. The quality is excellent; no open seams, zippers still work, it's basically new. I've changed my mind about a few things. 1. I'm glad I bought the large size. On the pillow a lot and not too big.2. I believe that the coating material has a stain-resistant coating. Anything I drop or spill on it cleans up easily without leaving stains.3. A plus/minus. The padding tends to shift in areas of the back that aren't being used. From time to time I have to open the covers and put the filling back in place. The downside is that it's constantly moving with no baffles inside to keep it in place. But it's also a plus because I can just redistribute the padding where it is. After years of being uncomfortable in bed, I decided to jump on my back. There is enough choice to have a different back every day for several months. I chose the Milliard because there are 3 different sizes and a specific rating says the Milliard is known for its quality. I have to agree It was vacuum packed and when unpacked it looked terrible which is what I expected. There was also a slight smell. I followed the directions and laid it out on a flat surface (my floor) for 24 hours. It is completely filled as shown in the photo. That means no fluff, slaps, or wrestling in any way. I picked him up off the floor and laid him on the bed. (I darkened the mess) The smell is gone too. By the way, the evaluation regarding the quality was correct. There were no loose threads or crooked seams. The fabric was thick and soft. All YKK zippers have just been inserted. (YKK makes high quality zippers.) The pillow can be fastened with 2 buttons sewn on the back. Each elastic loop sewn to the pillow has three holes that allow you to adjust the position of the pillow when it's attached with buttons. I also like the removable, washable cover and the ability to adjust the firmness by removing or adding padding. There are 2 small problems. 1. It has no pockets on the arms for storage and 2. I bought the large 24" size and probably should have bought the standard size. The info didn't say there were pockets and I chose the wrong size, so the seller cannot be blamed. In summary, I made a good decision and would recommend and/or buy this backrest at any time.
