Review on Excel TWS 210ANS 7 Piece Adjustable Torque by Josh Garber

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good well made tool

The tool works very well. It appears to be all metal construction, well made and engineered. Separate keys are easy to install and remove. I used this to tighten the spokes on my dirt bike. I started by cleaning any exposed threads on the needles, then loosened all the needles a quarter turn to loosen them, then pulled them back to their original position. They were all around 75% of target torque. Before tightening, I checked the concentricity and axial runout of the rim. I tightened and loosened the appropriate spokes to eliminate any wobble, then tightened them all as instructed, including wobbles inside and outside the rows of spokes. I confirmed the radial and axial travel after tightening and the rim remained true (02" TIR). Don't forget to set the torque to zero on the key to save it. The bodywork is also well finished.

Pros
  • Hand tool
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
