These are very thick mattress pads, not the plastic itself.
These are extra thick mattress pads - the plastic itself is not thin at all. I am painting and renovating my house and this has saved my life. We just used clear tape to seal the end. Even after entering and leaving our warehouse several times, no dust or dirt got on our mattresses. They are also large enough to accommodate our very thick (over 20 inch) mattresses. I would definitely order them again if I need to store something in the future.
