These are good, durable sewing scissors that will cut a variety of fabrics. I've always had trouble finding a good left handed pair and these are the first to arrive easily and without fuss. With all the COVID-19 masks I've made lately, this purchase was a much needed investment with all the cotton, linen and other natural fabrics I love to unravel. It literally keeps my tissue wastage to a minimum. They cut fairly cleanly on arrival and the hinge is strong enough for a number of uses, but they dull fairly quickly so definitely find somewhere to sharpen them as I should. Call ahead and be open-minded; My local kitchen store sharpened them when my sewing shop refused.
