If you're just looking for an ugly table lamp or lantern, this would be awesome! But if you're like me and want something to get rid of those nasty mosquitoes, look elsewhere! Turned it on and left it in the most mosquito-ridden area of my house for about an hour (more on battery life in a minute). Nothing happened other than the purple light flashing! I heard no hits and found no abandoned beetle carcasses. This thing won't even tickle your tongue if you stick it all the way in (not that I tried). However, I stuck a damp paper towel in to test it. Again nothing! As for the built-in solar panels, I left them in direct sunlight for 2 days in a row. When I went to test him, he lasted about an hour and died completely. Not sure if that's the estimated battery life after a full solar charge, but not great. All in all I think it's junk. But who knows, maybe I was just unlucky and got a lemon.
