I have been using Polar products for many years and was very satisfied until last year. In the last year, two chest straps have completely deteriorated. I thought 1 fault was a forgivable variance given my long history of satisfaction, but this last strap started falling apart after only about 60 days. I have to say that I usually use the strap 5 times a week and am pretty good at cleaning it frequently. First, the rubber sensor strip began to curl away from the fabric at each end. The rubber only came off about an inch at first, and I could deal with that. Then it was two centimeters. I decided to try super glue. This lasted no more than a few days, and stratification worsened. I then used my almost nonexistent sewing skills and used a needle and thread to attach the elastic back to the fabric. Didn't do much work but it worked. But I shouldn't have done any of that. Come on Polar, pull yourself together!
