Review on IPROVEN® Digital Thermometer - Rectal And Oral With Flexible Tip, 10-Second Read, Fever Alarm, And Hardcase For The Whole Family by Raymond Wade

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Oral or Rectal Reads ONLY, not Axillary!

The instructions for this thermometer expressly state it is not to be used for axillary readings, or rather the reading will not be accurate. It is to be used as an oral or rectal thermometer.I prefer the other digital option iProvèn has that gives a temporal or ear reading, and have used it more than this version. My children are small and will be still for a few clicks, but more than that for the smallest one is probably not reasonable at his newly mobile age (8 months).I like the flexible tip design on this thermometer and can see it helping those who want the most accurate rectal reading. It does not come with covers of any kind.It does have faces based on temperature reading but for me this seems overkill. For some people I suppose this is helpful. In short, it's functional, somewhat quick, and has the bonus flexibility tip. Four stars.

Pros
  • Works great, fast, easy. No problems.
Cons
  • The flexible tip can be difficult to insert and may cause discomfort
