I bought this dock after the cheaper one didn't work properly. I'm using it with a Dell XPS 15 9570 and I've connected a 4K monitor, 2 external hard drives, laptop power adapter, bluetooth mouse and keyboard. All in all, once set up properly, everything works great. My main issue initially was that DisplayPort shouldn't be used if you want a 60Hz refresh rate at 4K resolution. I used HDMI and only got 30Hz. After the change the problem was solved. Aside from having to change the display cable, the only minor annoyance was that when I booted up my computer warned me that the power supply was not suitable because the voltage was too low. While this is true, the laptop still stays charged so this isn't an issue. To remove the warning, all you have to do is go into the BIOS settings at startup and turn off the PSU warning. Overall, this is a great docking station and it definitely gets the job done. I like that it supports multiple monitors as well as fast USB 3.0 for transferring data to external drives. If you have a laptop that you enjoy using as a desktop, this article is for you.
