It's not a professional tool but it costs A LOT more. Works decently for putting the last pair of boards against the wall. It won't be as firm as your nail hammer, but it's good enough. As others have pointed out, it needs something underneath to keep it from scratching the floor. The bubble wrap that was sent worked fine for me, I used temporary (rubber) glue to stick it to the bottom. The unlocking mechanism didn't seem complicated to me. Play with the tool for a while before using it. Once you know how the pins work, detaching them will be much easier. Used on Hickory 3/4. Recommend this for a weekend warrior who is completing his gender, I would NOT recommend this for a pro who will be doing this frequently.
