Printer model SL-M2880FW . I pulled out the original cartridge and put this one in. The printer was warming up and an incompatible cartridge error message appeared on the display. The status light stayed red and the device did not copy. I put the printer to sleep, removed the cartridge and reinserted it. The printer has warmed up and I get an 'incompatible cartridge' message and a red status light again. After a few seconds, the status indicator turned green and the incompatibility message disappeared. Ran a test copy and it looked fine. I hope the compatibility issue doesn't reoccur. The cartridge was shipped in its own thin box rather than a stronger shipping container. This was met with a tear for which I do not hold the shipping carrier (USPS) responsible. The cartridge was well wrapped in a very tight bubble wrap that protected it from the source of rupture. There is no shipping container stamp on the box. I'm giving one star for initial panic due to incompatibility and poor shipping packaging. The rest of the prints now look normal.
