I thought it was supposed to make my water cleaner! So I tested the PUR Ultimate Water Filtration System that arrived today with a PPM meter and got the following results. Deer Park Spring Water - 24ppm Tap Water - 37ppm PUR Ultimate - 69ppm Follow all directions and soak the filter in cold water for 15 minutes. , washed for 10 seconds, cleaned the jug. I cannot recommend this product. Back to Britta. PS: The Smart Touch Light battery is not replaceable. Once it's empty, you'll have to manually keep track of when the filters need to be changed.
