I award these three stars for the color and the hairpins. The color is almost the natural gray I grew up with so this part is amazing. Another positive point is that the clips are quite durable. Now for the cons. The worst is the smell. They have a strong musty odor. It's like someone left her in a damp basement for 20 years. Haven't tried washing them yet so this might be something that can be fixed. but who wants to spend money on something and have it "fixed" right away? I'm not sure but the smell could be due to the plastic they are packaged in. I can just try airing them out and then store them in a different package. Another minus that I deducted a star for is the thickness. These are very thin. If you already have thick hair and either use it for a bold color or just use it in areas where you might lose some hair, this might work for you. And finally, they get tangled up very quickly. One became tangled within minutes and could not be combed with fingers or with a gentle and thorough comb. I cut out the tangled parts with scissors.
