Review on Mr. Coffee All-in-One Specialty Pods Coffee Maker with ☕️ 10-Cup Thermal Carafe, Espresso, Milk Frother & Storage Tray - Black by Sean Reddy

Bought for my wife as a Christmas/birthday present as she has wanted an espresso machine for a long time. Since we cannot afford many coffee machines on the market, I chose this device. My wife said it was one of the best gifts I've ever given her. With a little practice, we can make coffee drinks just as well as we can make a coffee shop. Advantages: 1. This device can replace your drip coffee maker, milk frother, K-cup coffee maker and espresso machine. Of course, it can only do one thing at a time, so if you're in a hurry, you can't make espresso and froth milk at the same time.2. It makes very good filter coffee (my favorite) but is limited to a 10-cup vacuum flask (I usually had a 12-cup glass). The vacuum jug prevents the coffee from simply settling on the burner and creating a burnt taste. I returned a few hours later to coffee still hot in a carafe.4. With the right beans you get a very good espresso. K-Cups taste as expected and are quick to prepare. Cons: 1. The unit makes a little noise when brewing, I would compare it in decibels to the sizzling of bacon in a frying pan. Won't wake sleeping children loudly, but louder than a regular drip coffee maker thanks to an actual pump that pushes water through rather than relying on convection.2. The milk frother isn't quiet and can wake children up if they're in the same room, so take that into account. It's not too loud, just a bit high-pitched because the steam hisses. I would equate this to whistling to get the attention of someone already standing right next to you. Yes, it's not quiet, but if no one is sleeping in the same room, they probably won't hear it.3. To brew a K-Cup drink, it will be a little slower because there is an extra step of replacing the K-Cup.4 pod. No clock or timer. If you are used to waking up with coffee already brewed, you need to set the brew button to press 5 minutes before the coffee you want. I didn't care, I built it into my daily ritual. There is no built-in coffee grinder, which I think freshly ground beans are essential for good coffee. If you already have a coffee grinder, this is not a problem. Overall I'm glad I bought this machine as I can save a ton of money and gain more control by making my own drinks. It also opened my eyes to how much sugar coffee shops put in drinks when trying to match the flavor profile! I would definitely pair this with a coffee grinder to get the full flavor of the coffee.
