Review on 🔥 Optimized PowerSmith PAVC101 Amp Ash Vacuum by Tyler Markham

I've used this *maybe* 10 times. I live in San Diego County and after a few months it went out of service. When it worked, it worked great. The filter kept the ash in the tank well and prevented the ash from being thrown into the exhaust. It's basically a shop vacuum with a really good filter and product finish. Today I started vacuuming the chimney with a clean filter and an empty tank. After 10 seconds, the suction power really started to drop. I unplugged the unit, made sure the tank was empty, removed and cleaned the filter, and ran the mop handle through the hose to remove dirt I couldn't see. Assembled, restarted. Again the suction power was weak and suddenly the device switched itself off. It didn't restart. I called Revain to get my money back, they were fantastic, no return problems. (Thanks, Revain!) After getting the confirmation, I decided to disassemble the device to see what happened. The fan mechanism itself is cheaply assembled, with thin wires with no thermal protection connecting the fan to the cable. It looks like the device has overheated and the wiring has melted causing a short circuit. Both the plastic underneath the fan and the wires connecting it from above had melted. Despite the obvious care they've put into the finishing and filtering, the electronics really suck. I think that the exhaust filter, which is only accessible if you completely disassemble it, is clogged and the unit is overheating. Bad design.
