YOUR POWERSMITH VACUUM CAN'T BREAK!

CAN'T DESTROY YOUR POWERSMITH! I just bought my SECOND one because my first one suddenly stopped working after a few years. I've read other reviews that said their device suddenly stopped working, just like mine. I was talking about a more expensive US made model, but about three times the price, and after reading a similar "my block died" review about it, I decided to just buy another PowerSmith. Well before I throw the old one away I thought I'd pop the lid and see if something simple wentโ€ฆ

It's a piece of junk, the plastic bottom broke after 2 minutes of trying!

I just unpacked and assembled these today to get ready for the holidays. I took the time to read the manual carefully and then plugged it in to try it out to make sure it worked. Within a minute of using it and turning it off, I find a piece of plastic next to the vacuum cleaner. I was alarmed. After examining the vacuum cleaner, I found that the plastic base was cracked and the part next to it was about to crack as well. THE? Unbelievable! I read somewhere that someone says it's a piece ofโ€ฆ

Purchased 14th December 2014 and worked great for about two months

Purchased 14th December 2014 and worked great for about two months. Last winter I used it 5 times, then cleaned it and put it away before the end of the year. It was great at work. It sucked really well and was pretty quiet. I unpacked it today to use it and the engine sounded hoarse and had a strong smell of burning. I'm afraid to use it, it sounds and smells like it's about to explode! The engine sparks! It was still under warranty so I contacted the manufacturer to see if they would fix orโ€ฆ

Broke after a short period of use

I've used this *maybe* 10 times. I live in San Diego County and after a few months it went out of service. When it worked, it worked great. The filter kept the ash in the tank well and prevented the ash from being thrown into the exhaust. It's basically a shop vacuum with a really good filter and product finish. Today I started vacuuming the chimney with a clean filter and an empty tank. After 10 seconds, the suction power really started to drop. I unplugged the unit, made sure the tank wasโ€ฆ
