Review on 75" TV Samsung QE75QN900AU 2021 QLED, HDR RU, stainless steel by ng Hong Dng ᠌

Good product, I recommend that you try it.

I chose between LG OLED77G1RLA and Samsung QE75QN900AUX. The distance between the line of eyes and the center of the screen is 2.9 meters. The fact that for my distance the diagonal will be slightly smaller than that of LG and the pixel is smaller (8K) played in favor of Samsung. Well, over the past year, 8K videos that have been actively appearing on YouTube have forced me to look towards the 8K TV. Even though they are more visual - about nature, animals and travel, but this is exactly what I need. The first inclusion at the courier and an exclamation: about horror that I have bought! For such money! Nasty stray light all over the screen instead of the black color that I got used to after a year of using 2 OLED TVs. I frantically reached into the image settings menu and found the "Local dimming" item, changed the value to "High". And cheers! Well, of course not OLED, but it became very close to that. Even on test videos showing bright objects against a black background, the difference is almost invisible. The only place where backlight halos are present without any tests is text captions on a black background. But somehow it doesn't bother me. Still, Samsung engineers tried to make the most of the VA panel in terms of blacks by using their multi-point backlight. Yes, the TV has a function to move the sound to the side where the image is when playing not in full screen. Really, where did I find it to work - when scrolling through the channels of on-air TV. The image of the current channel in a small window is displayed in the upper left corner of the screen and the sound moves there. True, I did not realize the practical benefits of this. And about 8K. I probably agree with the author of one of the reviews that the difference between 8K and 4K will be visible on screens with a diagonal of 85 inches. On my 75 inch TV I saw the difference only once, they showed an aunt with a very complex dress pattern, the only time I saw the difference was when I went up to the TV at a distance of 1 meter. I got used to the TV for 2 months, now it has become like a native. In general, the model is not bad, but "raw" in some moments. I took it for 411,257.70 on 10/17/2022.

Pros
  • Ultra-slim body, frameless screen design, OneConnect external unit, which provides extremely convenient connection of various cable connections, Wi-Fi AX (though I don’t use it).
Cons
  • Unfortunately, the tendency to ate the product range of their products from leading TV manufacturers leads to the fact that a "raw" untested product is put on sale. For example, there are technical problems with this TV, most likely on a serial scale, which Samsung does not want to admit. The most unpleasant thing is the rattling of the body when playing some video clips, where certain low frequencies are used in the musical voice acting. I thought that the back panel of the case was rattling due to poor assembly, but no - the entire panel enters into resonance, and at a low volume, that is, vibration by hands is felt throughout the case, including the screen anywhere. I tried to adjust the sound with the equalizer available in the sound settings menu - to no avail. In principle, this problem does not bother me much, since it does not appear on most content, and besides, I am going to buy a soundbar, but still it exists. Further, when scanning the channels of a local cable operator, Samsung finds only 95 channels out of 97. Here are two LG CX series operating on the same network, they find all 97 channels, and the top Samsung only 95. At the same time, the desired transponder with the frequency at which missing channels has a high signal level. But Samsung is not interested in dealing with the problem - all technical support answers boil down to transferring problems to third-party equipment suppliers (in my case, a local cable operator). There is also a problem with turning on the TV remotely via the SmartThings app when using a wired connection to the home network (Ethernet). In the off state, the TV behaves extremely funny with its network card. Filmed connection logs from the router. For 2 minutes, the network card turns on, then turns off for 3 minutes, and so on in a circle. If you get into the "2 minutes the card is on" phase, you can turn on the TV remotely. If you get into the "3 minutes the card is turned off" phase, remote activation does not occur.
