Small size does not fit!

I bought this set (and was willing to pay a bit more) to decide what size to buy. Item arrived in good condition and on time, however the smaller of the two wool pads does not fit fully into the spoke groove on my 17 Chevy Bolt alloy wheel. Disappointed in that. Otherwise a good product.
