Having similar tie clips of this size I was amazed when I opened the box and saw the quality and finish of this pet tie. from your bid, especially considering the value of that item. I have seen similar pegs for half the price of this 20" Boss Pet Tie Out peg which I believe is a better design and quality than what I received. I have provided photos of the liner received showing the fit and finish.The first two pictures show the welds holding the plate to the post and it appears that the two pieces were not clamped or securely fastened together during the welding so if they were welded then is the gap between the two is open and the welds are very bad little room where they meet.Welds are also uneven, the right seam is smaller than the left.The next two photos show a piece of wire in the shape of a figure eight turning around rotates a rod to which you attach a cable, chain, or tie.In a figure eight design with an extended bore compared to the geschw Forged steel ring that other manufacturers use has no advantage other than cost savings for the manufacturer and I suspect the strength of this and the possibility of it being stretched or welded should be greater as it not only closes the loop but also the shape of a Eight should be retained. You can also see the quality of the weld and the penetration of the weld that completes the loop and also maintains the figure eight shape. Finally, the pole that sticks proudly out of the dome was longer than other brands I've bought, and depending on your grass and your mower's blade height, this can be a real problem as it's over an inch long. I don't recommend ever mowing through the peg or sill itself, but if the mower gets too close to the ring being so high off the ground there is a much higher chance of catching it with the mower blade and that Potential for damage and injuries that can result in much more.
