The description is accurate. This is a good compact level. The body is high contrast making it easy to see. Each end has a rubber bumper with a hole for hanging. The design is very good and well thought out. I like that it has a metal frame. There are 3 strong magnets on the underside that hold the spirit level securely on a metal surface. The level I received wasn't as accurate as it could have been. A quick way to tell if a spirit level is straight is to place the spirit level on the surface. Note the corresponding bladder position (preferably a dead center), then turn the spirit level to the opposite side and check that the spirit level reads the exact same bladder position. This happens both horizontally and vertically. My level was slightly off. By measuring the squareness of the case, I found that one side was 3 mils larger than the other. 3 mil is slightly larger than a human hair. That is not much. I have other compacts and haven't found the perfect one yet. Because the level is so compact, even a very, very small change in size will affect the accuracy of the level. It's not a problem for me, it's still a very useful tool. This small bubble level is great for getting into small spaces and easy to carry around. This level is sufficient for most general household tasks. The deviation of my spirit level is small compared to the thickness of the line you would mark with a spirit level. For example, if you hang pictures a few feet apart, the line you draw to hang pictures and place fixtures will affect the accuracy of the result more than the accuracy of the spirit level itself. If you want accurate alignment, you need one longer spirit level, but any spirit level is better than trying by eye.
