The pliers didn't work as well as I thought. I used them to make tomato cages out of concrete reinforcing wire. My tongs were normally closed. They would stay in the open position as if in need of lubrication. Lubricated, but lubrication did not help. It was like the pliers were designed to be stiff when fully open. The tongs could not close the pig rings tightly with one squeeze of the handle. After using about 200 pig rings, I switched to Harbor Freight zip ties. The ties were faster and closed tightly.
