It should be noted that half of the paper is solid and has a more paper-like texture than patterned sheets, which have an almost cloth-like texture. Twenty sheets are patterned and 20 are plain. Solid colors are nice too. I bought two cell phone packages. I think that if solid, more muted colors weren't part of the mobile, maybe there would be too many colors at once and the impact of the piece would be less. Solid colors create a pleasant contrast to rich patterns. However, the patterned sheets are gorgeous and have gold accents that add to its charm. I'm saying all of this to say that if you're looking for 40 sample sheets, you might want to consider a different product.
