Now I've been wanting to buy a 3M filter again, but when I saw the Targus 4Vu privacy screen for $21 I couldn't resist and bought it instead. It came in a HUGE box and was well packaged. The screen itself is very nice and the angles quoted are correct - 30 degrees in either direction. However, it doesn't get as dark as with the 3M and there are clear highlights. You can easily see what's on the screen. It also has less anti-reflective effect than 3M. All in all I don't regret this purchase. It's actually pretty good. Lighting tests - dark room - no other light, lots of light and people can see what you are doing even at 30 degrees - sunny room - 30 degrees holds up very well. It's getting dark behind him, but not enough. You can see what's going on, but it's pretty dim - the screen also gets a lot dimmer, so you'll need more brightness settings. - Colors are muted, too, and there's no pop music - but it works well enough.
