Review on 🧠 Adamanta 32GB (4x8GB) Apple Memory Upgrade for Late 2015 iMac 27" Retina 5K Display - DDR3/DDR3L 1867Mhz PC3L-14900 SODIMM RAM by Ben Robinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A whopping 32GB of storage took the iMac i5 from normal to incredible in late 2015.

Total storage period. I have used non-genuine memory in all my Apple computers. On my Late 2015 iMac, removing the cover was easy. I laid the computer face down on the bed and popped the new memory into the slots as easily as possible. I removed the cover and the computer immediately recognized the new memory. To test this, I opened up all my editing programs Lightroom, Photoshop, Logic X and FCPX and filled them with lots of images and video projects and opened everything in my dock and the computer didn't even flinch. With 32GB of storage, I can edit videos until my fingers fall off without having to sacrifice the video I'm trying to put together. With all things open I edited the video and had no problems. This memory is amazing and has changed my computer a lot. I finally got the performance I paid for in this computer. a late 2015 iMac with an i5 processor and a Fusion drive was maybe 33% faster with 8GB of memory than my old late 2010 Mac Book Pro with 8GB of memory, after I upgraded to 32GB of memory the computer probably crashed 150 % faster from Macbook Pro. The great thing is that when I open a program I no longer have to wait 10-30 seconds for it to open, now it opens almost instantly. When editing photos, I no longer get shaky performance in the light room when changing the levels of filters and sliders, it's smooth as silk, almost to the point of smoothness. While I was editing the video before filling the 2 minute video with transitions, sound and effects, the effects were stuttering and the transitions weren't smooth, all the videos before the memory increase were stuttering on playback, now with full effects and a lot of editing , the video plays smoothly. I looked at my activity monitor with everything open and there was only 30% memory free compared to trying to do this with just 8GB of memory. I increased it to 100% and the computer froze and I had to restart my computer. I'm very happy with this memory, it does exactly what it did for speed and smoothing things out. I finally got the computer I was looking for when I bought the iMac. If you don't have enough memory, or just the base 8GB, the included computer won't fully do what it's capable of. At $160, this is a cheap, quick upgrade that will take your PC from normal to sensational in minuets.
