They replaced our 50 watt halogen lights in the kitchen and dining room. We use them almost constantly, probably more than 8 hours a day, more than any other indoor light. The savings must be impressive as they only use 14% of the energy that halogens used. This is our second workaround, replacing halogens with LEDs. The first ones were 3000K and I thought they were "only" 10% whiter than the incandescent bulbs they replaced. Not correct. They were like K-Mart fluorescent lights, washing the color out of everything and making food look like a dull, faded. They're not as clear as halogens, but I blame matte lenses for that. They are ideal for reproducing food and other colors as they appear in indirect sunlight. They are on a dimmer (Lutron) and dim and shine perfectly with no flicker. Completely satisfied.
