Review on Universal Ceiling Fan Control - Litex WCI-100 Wall Command with Full Range Dimmer and Three Speeds by Jason Bollinger

Works, but beware of things they can't really help.

I finished the install today and the good news is that it works. The parts actually containing the hardware they supplied were relatively simple. The biggest problem I had was trying to figure out which part was wrong when I originally had a wiring problem. My advice: first install the remote control part (the part that replaces the wall switch) and make sure it works (you can turn on the fan and light with the slider on the bottom to check if it works properly connected) before installing it. remote receiver/switch unit. Thereafter. Well then you have the tricky part, which isn't actually installing the receiver itself, it's removing the fan so you can install it. As I said in the title, it's not really the people's fault that did it, it's just a pain in the ass because of the way ceiling fans are designed. The only advice I can give is that a typical fan will have a lot more cords in the fan's ceiling dome than is strictly necessary: you'll probably want to cut them shorter to give you room for the receiver. with all the screws and conical connectors I needed. The instructions are quite clear and easy to follow. Recommended.
