Including receiver

I ordered two of these and they both work great. At first I mistakenly ordered almost the same thing but without the handset and sent it back. The price of this one with the receiver was about the same, so it's good value for money. As someone else pointed out, installation is pretty easy. If you're familiar with electrical work, just make sure you turn off the power. Also, for a flush mount fan, I found that I needed a way to mount the receiver on the ceiling so it doesn't touch the spinning…

Works in place of switch for Litex WCI-100

I installed Litex WCI-100 for my fan. Unfortunately I had an issue where after a few months the Litex seemed too short (or there was a shorted wire which I didn't see) where there was voltage on the switch chassis (and a screw for the cover). So I got this switch hoping it would work. The Litex WCI-100 has five mini switches in the row of DIP switches, while this one has four (I think the extra switch on the Litex was called DP? I don't know what it's for. The other 4 switches were numbered the

Works very well best in ceiling fans and accessories

These little guys work very well. I'm very glad we decided to use these blocks instead of having the electrician run extra wires through the walls and ceiling and add another box and switch. They take a little getting used to, but we like the simple functionality of changing fan speed with a separate button for the light. The Light button glows in the dark, which is nice, but not for long. I want it to have a dim LED on it or something to light it up. Just two complaints: - if you have…

Works with the Emerson Apollo Series ceiling fan

. The old wall control was an Emerson control and it worked but only controlled 2 speeds of my 3 speed ceiling fan. I have a contract with Emerson and they no longer sell dimmer (3) fan speed wall controls. I searched the internet and found this wall mounted Litex control panel that looked exactly like the old Emerson control panel. I bought a Litex control panel and installed the receiver and wall panel in about 30 minutes. It works great and the price was reasonable. The Litex controller and…

Works, but beware of things they can't really help.

I finished the install today and the good news is that it works. The parts actually containing the hardware they supplied were relatively simple. The biggest problem I had was trying to figure out which part was wrong when I originally had a wiring problem. My advice: first install the remote control part (the part that replaces the wall switch) and make sure it works (you can turn on the fan and light with the slider on the bottom to check if it works properly connected) before installing it…

Great solution to a BIG problem

My fan/light came with a switch in the box very similar to this BUT it was for a wired situation. No matter what combination was used to connect, nothing worked properly. Unless your switch and box are wired specifically for the fan/light combination, the wired switch cannot work. The solution is a transmitter and receiver with wires that match what's coming out of your fan/light, specifically the blue wire that controls the light separately. If you have a junction box and hole with a typical 3

Nice switch, works with some non-litex fans too.

I purchased this item to add a wall switch to an outdoor ceiling fan that only works with a wireless remote control. The outdoor fan was from Costco so there was no chance they were selling a wall switch that actually worked with the fan. I had other wall switches that looked similar and worked with a 5 switch code system so I decided to give it a try. Installation was pretty easy. Essentially two black wires and ground. It doesn't matter what was positive and what was negative. I did not…

Good control solution for ceiling fans with 16 codes

Functionally identical to the Harbor Breeze control I bought from Home Depot about a year ago. I bought a new ceiling fan with a 16 code remote (4 dip switches) and wanted to add a wall remote. Although this is a new fan from Home Depot, the only wall remotes they currently sell are the "No Code" variety, meaning the receiver will need to be replaced, which means the wireless one that came with the fan will not work remote control is lost! Home Depot has a controller that can be ordered online,

At the top of the stairs to the second floor I had a simple lamp operated with three position switches (one at the bottom of the stairs, one at the top of the stairs). up the stairs and one next to the master bedroom). I decided to replace the fixture with a fan and light combination to improve airflow between floors. I didn't want to control both the fan and the light with those 3 position switches so I decided to see if they would work. And they work! It was a shame to order 3 complete sets…
