These little guys work very well. I'm very glad we decided to use these blocks instead of having the electrician run extra wires through the walls and ceiling and add another box and switch. They take a little getting used to, but we like the simple functionality of changing fan speed with a separate button for the light. The Light button glows in the dark, which is nice, but not for long. I want it to have a dim LED on it or something to light it up. Just two complaints: - if you have incandescent bulbs, pressing and holding the 'light' button (when you turn it on on the side of the controller) will dim the light. It's a cool feature, but I wish there was an easy way to quickly restore it to "full state". You should just keep holding as it gets darker and guess where the peak is. - They don't come in other colors. All of our switches are decorated with brown decorations and some of these blocks are located next to the brown switches.
