Review on Universal Ceiling Fan Control - Litex WCI-100 Wall Command with Full Range Dimmer and Three Speeds by Niko Knight

Good control solution for ceiling fans with 16 codes

Functionally identical to the Harbor Breeze control I bought from Home Depot about a year ago. I bought a new ceiling fan with a 16 code remote (4 dip switches) and wanted to add a wall remote. Although this is a new fan from Home Depot, the only wall remotes they currently sell are the "No Code" variety, meaning the receiver will need to be replaced, which means the wireless one that came with the fan will not work remote control is lost! Home Depot has a controller that can be ordered online, but if I order online I can also have Revain Prime delivered. As mentioned in other reviews, the "Litex" logo is on it, but it's no worse than the "Harbor Breeze" logo on the very same remote in the other room. However, unlike this Harbor Breeze controller, this one doesn't require a battery - it runs on AC power only. Very simple wiring, just two black (not polarity sensitive) plus ground. Set the codes to match my fan and it turns on and off. Press and hold the green light button and the fan light will turn off etc. This comes with a receiver which I have not used as I just set it up to match my existing receiver. . So I can't speak about fan speed and lamp brightness as it's actually a function of a part I haven't used. wear just as well and work perfectly. Since I replaced two switches (one for the fan, one for the light), I had an extra hole in the 3-gang box, so I inserted a Leviton 6527-W LED track to brighten my hallway a bit at night to give light. see photo.
