Great solution to a BIG problem

My fan/light came with a switch in the box very similar to this BUT it was for a wired situation. No matter what combination was used to connect, nothing worked properly. Unless your switch and box are wired specifically for the fan/light combination, the wired switch cannot work. The solution is a transmitter and receiver with wires that match what's coming out of your fan/light, specifically the blue wire that controls the light separately. If you have a junction box and hole with a typical 3 wire "hot/neutral/ground" connection and are trying to connect a fan/lamp using the same 3 wires + the blue wire for the lights, this is a great solution . It was easy to connect and thankfully worked great, including dimming the LED backlight. Also, it works without an internal battery, which of course will eventually need to be replaced. One thing I would do differently when installing is to set the dip switches to something other than the default as it's trying to control the fan in the next room. If this turns out to be a persistent problem, I'll have to make an adjustment and toggle one of them on so they don't compete for control. Conclusion: great solution to a BIG problem I was struggling with.
